Many of our Olympic medals have been won by horses who have been carefully crossed over and  over from   different
breeds to capture the best of each and create a "super horse".  They are called
warmbloods.   Geneticists tend to
agree that the healthiest sustainable population is found in  animals where excellent  individuals are occasionally
swapped between several distinct gene pools. That way you don't lose rare traits that may be necessary  but hybrid
vigor keeps those gene pools healthy .

These are cross bred to produce the best of both parents, the stamina and hybrid vigor, looks , and temperament,  self
collection and movement. By breeding for the best traits of both,  you get better than either . All our mares are
exceptional in their particular breed, and as expensive (if that is a gage) as Friesian mares. We chose to go the  way  of
many professionals and our breeding program is based on producing
high quality performance horses. Many cross
breds are much more expensive than either parent breed- it is based on ability to perform, and blood  lines involved,
which is how professionals gage the true value of a horse.
Friesian foals are rarely born black- the true color shows as they lose their foal coat, some of the photo show the foals
in their baby coat, which is never black for Friesians, some photos are of the babies in their foal coat ,  the mouse colored
ones are NON FADING blacks (meaning they do not fade in the sun to a brown in the summer). Our breeding program is
based on taking very high quality mares from strong, healthy stock, and breeding so that the foals have the best of both
and are better than either parent. The babies  turned out better than our biggest hopes- very correct, excellent
conformation, very athletic, and with wonderful "people loving" personalities. Their sire, Weyland, is clearly dominant in
these babies- there's no mistaking his look and height! As the mare's uterus determines the size of the baby at birth,
there were no difficulties- the babies are growing by leaps and bounds though!  Totally imprinted, they are a joy to work
(and play) with! All our foals are  registered  Friesian Sport Horses , micro chipped, halter broke, farrier trained and up to
date on all shots and wormings. These foals have been imprinted and raised in a very loving environment, so we are very
careful to make sure they are placed in the most appropriate homes- for the happiness of both the foal and the new owner.
